Are you looking for a legit way to make some extra money?
If so, paid surveys might be for you. It’s definitely not going to pay all your bills (although it could help) so don’t quit your job just yet. However, you can earn a little extra money that can help you pay for presents, treat yourself to a meal, or buy some groceries. Every little bit counts right?
How much you earn really depends on how much time and effort you put into it. Basically, you’re trading in your time to earn money by completing surveys, so you’re the only person that can determine if it’s worth your time. I’ve gotten between $0.25 – $1.00 per survey.
Some surveys are short and sweet and others are painfully long. But just think of how much time you spend doing other things that don’t pay anything like surfing the web, Facebook stalking, or watching tv. I can’t even tell you how many hours I’ve wasted in the Facebook rabbit hole.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my shows and watching sweet animal videos on YouTube but unfortunately, no one pays me to do those things. The best part (other than getting paid of course) is that you can complete surveys anywhere/anytime and it doesn’t take too much brain power so you can still have your favorite showing playing in the background. Test it out and see how much money can make by completing surveys in your free time.

I’ve listed 8 legit companies below that pay you for taking online surveys. There are a bunch of survey sites out there so proceed with caution because not all survey sites are created equal. Here are a few things to look out for before signing up for any online surveys.
- Surveys should ALWAYS be free. Never pay any sort of participation fee
- Legitimate survey sites will never ask for your social security number or bank account information
- If the survey sounds too good to be true then it probably is. If they offer a large amount of money for a few minutes of your time, it’s probably a scam
Pro Tip: Create a new email before signing up for surveys or use one you have designated for spammy emails because some of these companies will send you a lot of emails that you probably don’t want filling up your main inbox.
Earn points by taking surveys. You may not qualify for every survey, but just for being a willing participant, you can earn 3 points. Once you earn 1,000 points, you can redeem the points for cash or e-gift cards. Just by signing up and doing a few other things that took me a total of 5 minutes, I earned 105 points.
